Default Alternatives to Acuvue dailies moist

Hi,

I'm a new contact lens user and was recommended Acuvue Daily Moist by my optician. I also tried normal Acuvue dailies at the same time and felt an initial sting with the non-moist lens but not with the moist. This may have been becuase I tried to put the non-moist in about 7 times before I managed it yet the moist went in after two attempts. I'm really happy with the acuvue moist yet they are very exp, does anyone know of any alternatives such as another brand?

Thanks,

Mike

I couldn't say I do, I only use Acuvue, though I think Durasoft might make something worth looking into.

I would look ask about one of the brands that come in packages of 90 lenses in addition to the 30 packs because with the 90 packs you are almost getting one month free compared to purchasing three "30 lens packs" I might ask about Focus Dailies they are less expensive than the Ciba dailies with aqua comfort plus but I like those best so I use those and they also come in packs of 90 lenses in addition to packages of 30 lenses but you need to ask your eye doctor if you could try them they will give you a a sample pack to try usually a five day supply.

I checked on lens.com and it looks like the Focus Dalies come in a 90 pack, and the ones that come in 30 are Focus Dailies Progressives, which are a different kind of contact lens. The site says "Focus Dailies Progressive are the only daily disposable multifocal lens for people with Presbyopia (the inability to focus on near objects). Focus Dailies Progressive by Ciba Vision are a great-looking alternative to bifocals."

The Focus dailies are more or less just general purpose lenses.

When it looks like a particular brand offers both a 30 pack and a 90 pack, look closesly to make sure they're the same thing.
