Default 123 Marking on Acuvue Moist?

Is it hard to see the 123 marking on 1 Day Acuvue Moist contacts that tell you if they're inside out?
Also, have you ever taken a contact lens out of the case and it was already inside out?

Definitely hard for many people to see the 123 marker. My optician says she doesnt even mention it because most people will fret over not being able to see it and worry they are doing something wrong, but it is definitely there and I have seen it using a magnifying device called the Vue-2 which also functions as an applicator device. I think they are always right side out when you open the package but they are so easy to flip with a tiny bit of pressure on the center of the lens and it can happen with out your being aware you applied a bit of pressure to the lens! It has happened to me anyway.

Thank you for that post, petlover1. It's very informative. I never thought about eye doctors not telling their patients about the 123 inversion mark. It makes sense if the doctor things it will be more stressful then helpful.

Tell me more about the Vue-2 thing. Do you have a picture of it? It sounds neat.

Thank you for your time.

I thought I did post a picture of the vue 2 device but without regular practice I might have forgotten how to get the image to the post so I will try again and see if it works!

This vue 2 device can also be used to insert the contact lens and works quite well for that too. It can really magnify and show up lint or fuzzies stuck to your lens that you otherwise would not see and clean the lens again before putting it to your eye and risking an irritation, infection or even just plain discomfort. So much nicer when the lens is perfectly centered and you don't even feel it except that your vision is better.
