Thread: 1-Day Acuvue TruEye Flip

    Default 1-Day Acuvue TruEye Flip

This hasn't happened to me personally, but I have read about it. Do your TrueEye lenses ever flip inside out as you're trying to put them in? If they have, did you find a way to stop them from doing that?

By this do you mean that instead of them being a nice outward facing dome that would stick to your eye, as you touch them to your eye they collapse backwards so that they cover your fingertip?

I've had this happen a number of times with different lenses. When it happens to me it is usually because of where I've tried to place the lens on my eye or due to blinking just as I'm about to insert it.

I think that's what Autonaton was asking about. It's something I was curious about anyway? Is there some way you can stop them from doing that?

Not that I've found, it seems to happen for me if I don't place the lens centrally on my finger or I then apply it on an angle to my eye.

So you still wear that brand or have you given up and moved on to a different one?

If you put the lens right on the center of your finger then it probably won't flip inside out, is that correct?

ftngirsh - I don't use these as my main contact lens any more due to them being prohibatively expensive to buy here. I'm now on the biofiinity monthly lenses however I keep a box of the TruEye for times when a daily lens is more appropriate.

Privateyez - that appears to be correct for me, though it can also happen if my finger goes to my eye at an angle rather than straight on

When you say "here" do you mean Scotland, like it says by your name?

Yeah, sorry, I should have made that clear. A months worth cost about 48 (around US$80) whereas I can get my biofinities for 15 (around US$25)
