You would probably find it would be better to wear some sort of sports sunglasses to protect your eyes against the wind which makes your eyes water.

You can also buy heavy duty sports contacts that are built to stay in your eyes and keep them moist and all the good stuff, there is a forum about sportswear lenses on here.

I don't think that you'd be at any more risk than you'd be in if you were wearing frames. If you fall wearing glasses, you could break them. You don't have that problem with contacts.

What? Of course they're safe to wear even if you're biking. Does your eyes or contact lenses have anything to do when you are biking?

I can't imagine getting into an accident because of your contact lenses. It's probably a good idea to wear sunglasses along with the contacts, but I don't see any reason why wearing contact lenses should make biking more difficult.

Essentially I agree with everyone else. So yeah, what they said.

Your contact lens couldn't be affect you riding a bike. Plus, if, god forbid, an accident happened to you and your eyes got hurt, lenses are not glass so they still won't have an effect on you.

Hmm... Maybe that's what he's thinking and asked about it.

What do you call these "heavy duty sports contacts"?

I assumed the question was about the contact lenses becoming a problem with blurred vision or discomfort while biking, which could lead to an accident.

I think that's unlikely but if a problem occurred, of course you should safely pull over and deal with it.

And I suspect that a combination of contacts and sunglasses or non-prescription goggles may be a good idea... ?

I hope so. Because that's the only time I can think of your contact lens being harmed when biking.

Perhaps, hey, you could be right about that. Anyway, if that kind of situation in your eye occurred then wouldn't make it a usual case in a contact lens? Instead of course that this time you are riding on a bike.
