Default Use The Side of Your Finger to Insert 1 Day Acuve

I read this neat trick that makes it easier to put in a thin daily contact lens like the 1 Day Acuvue.

Instead of placing the lens in the pad of your index finger, turn your hand to the side, as though you were about to shake hands with someone, and put the contact lens on the side of your index finger. It doesn't stick to your finger as much and won't tip so easily.

Try it and let me know.

I'm going to try it later. I get so frustrated sometimes trying to keep them on my finger. I really need to look in a mirror, which I assume means having your head in an upright position. I guess I could try putting the mirror on my lap and looking down....nah. I'll try your suggestion first. Thanks!

Awesome. Se we've got one person helped by this technique. Has anyone else tried it?

If this catches on maybe we can name this technique after StairMaster71.

I tried it, but I found it difficult to get that other finger on the same hand that I need to pull down my lower lid. It felt awkward so I gave, but I just lost a lens that fell off my finger pad, so I'm more motivated to try again.

I've heard that laying a mirror down flat on a tabletop can be very helpful. Let us know how this works out for you, okay? I wish you well.

Awesome. It's really cool when someone responds to my questions, but it's way cooler when someone tries one of my suggestions and it works for them. I'm glad I was able to help your friend.
