Default Do 1 Day Acuvue Contact Lenses Hurt When You First Put Them In?

According to my research, 1 Day Acuvue contact lenses are one of the most comfortable. Do they hurt at all when you put them in? Do they start to hurt after you've been wearing them all day?

I would say it is more of a discomfort than pain. It is just a matter of getting used to the routine of taking them in and out. It does get easier.

Default discomfort

All contact lenses have some form of discomfort associated with them. I mean look at it this way. Your putting something in your eye that is not natural. simple huh?

You definitely get use to them and some people can easily forget that they are in. The only time most people still experience discomfort with them after they get accustomed to having them in is when there is an infection present or they get dry.

They sure are nice, I haven't heard anything bad, except the fact they are disposeable and some people like it, some don't.

Default Do 1 Day Acuvue Contact Lenses Hurt When You First Put Them In?

Thanks for posting, everyone. I hope this thread put some people's minds at ease about trying 1-Day Acuvue contact lenses. I know I feel better. It's good to know that if you're uncomfortable at first, it won't be that way forever. Just hang in there and don't give up.

I've been using the Acuvue Daily Disposables for several years now and I have to say I can't recall having any discomfort when I put them in apart from times when I've managed to get any small fibres on the lenses, normally from the towels I use to dry my hands.

When this occurs, I take them out, and pour some of the storage solution from the contact lense package and check before I put them in again.

I have to say they have been the most comfortable type of lenses I've ever worn. I would not go back to monthly lenses.

To some. I think everyone who first put a contact lens in their eyes would always hurt.

Nope. Actually any lens that you take for the first time would really cause discomfort. And the thing is, its not the lenses that is causing the discomfort but your eyes for not being so used to wearing one.

Having said that, I suddenly thought, what happens to those who forgot they have lenses in their eyes?

Hopefully you will remember your contacts before you go to bed, because these are not intended to be slept in.
I think for most people, they're watching TV or something, then they see a commercial for glasses and that reminds them that they put contacts in that morning and say to themselves "Hey, these contacts are really comfortable. I almost forgot I was wearing them."

Wouldn't you agree, 1-Day Acuvue wearers?
