Is their any way to order contact lenses from a foreign country where prescriptions are not required using a Visa card? I heard their are contact lens vending machines at some foreign airports since no prescriptions are required for lens sales in almost all foreign countries.
By the way, you never answered my question: Which Acuvue lens is equivalent to Biomedics55 ?

Okay, first of all, you really don't want to order contact lenses from some "foreign country where prescriptions are not required." And you definitely don't want to get them out of a machine like a gumball. Contact lenses are medical devices. You must have a prescription from a licensed eye care professional.
Your eye doctor probably wanted to fit you for another brand of contact lenses, and since each brand is a little different, another fitting was probably the right move.
As for which lens in equivalent to Biomedics 55, I looked at all the 1-2 week disposable contact lenses made my Acuvue, and they're all different from the Biomedics 55. Different (but admittedly similar) water content and different materials. You probably can substitute, but I'm not a doctor so I'm not going to try and tell you which one would work.
I think your best bet would be to talk to you eye doctor and try to come to some agreement; and if that's not possible, find a different doctor and try again. Good luck.
