Personally I have dropped hard lenses, extended wear soft lenses on the floor and into the sink, my lap, etc. many times and provided you give it a good clean in the prescribed lens solution, then I think there will be no problems. Of course, daily lenses are more delicate so you would need to check there is no mechanical damage to the lens before reinserting.

I don't use daily disposable lenses very often, though of course as they can be fiddly to insert, I have also dropped these and reinserted after cleaning.
