It's not that they "release some chemicals," (At least . . . as far as I know.) it's that 1-day
contact lenses are not fit to wear more than once, They lose their ability to transport oxygen to your eyes, and they are not intended to resist bacteria either, so you risk infection.
Look at this link for several good reasons not to over wear your contact lenses.
