I usually wear them for two but if they still felt ok I I have stretched them a bit farther. I just had a through eye exam and the dr told me my eyes are very healthy so I have not had any issues with contacts. Except as I get older and eyes change for close up, I find wearing them longer irritates my eyes and makes them dry. I wonder if will be able to continue to wear them in the future.

If your eye doctor tells you that your contacts can last up to 4 weeks and you wear them for three, that's not "longer than recommended." Acuvue Advance are called "1-2 week
contact lenses," but that's just a guideline. Your eye doctor knows best how long you can wear your contacts. As long as your doctor knows how long you wear them and he or she is satisfied that your eyes are healthy, you shouldn't have any problems.
