Sorry to hear about your problems with the ColorBlends. You said you fell asleep in your seat while you were traveling. Were you on an airplane?
You then said that you would avoid sleeping in contacts more than a week old. That's probably true for FreshLook ColorBlends. If you sleep in them they only last a week. If you take them out at night they can last two weeks, or so I'm told. Check with your doctor to be sure.
