NO clinical studies have been performed on humans to evaluate the effectiveness of the UV protection in Acuvue lenses or any other lens. The claims touted by Vistakon are merely machine measurements and do not take into account movement on eye of the lens. Most common location for skin cancer is.......... Ding, Ding, Ding....... the eyelids. I'd prefer you spend your money on a GOOD pair of sunglasses than count on your contacts to provide any measurable level of UV protection.
