Yes ICU2, he is still wearing them. I'm not sure what ones he wears, though they are Boston lenses. He doesn't feel them if he doesn't think about them. Not sure if they are ultra gas permeable/latest technology as he mentioned wearing them overnight at one point.

He is in the German Military Marine Service at present, so it can cause problems with shifts/duty service when the ship is steaming (6 hours on/6 hours off) and then he is not allowed to wear contact lenses if using certain types of equipment - breathing apparatus for fire fighting, etc. etc. Possibly monthly silicone hydrogel soft lenses, probably toric, would be a good choice for him now, though I think his eyesight won't yet have fully stabilised.
