This tool is described on line as having a "pliable inserter cup [to hold] thin lenses in correct shape; prevents thick lenses from falling. Positive tweezer-like action."
I see how the cup can hold a contact lens, but I don't know what that "tweezer-like action" is about. Maybe you can choose which way to insert your
contacts?
