It seems clear to me from the postings on this thread that Focus Night & Day and Air Optix Night & Day Aqua are not the same thing. However, I compared the two brands of lenses on Lens.com, and they have the same material (76% lotrafilcon A) Same base curves (8.4 and 8.6) same diameter (13.8) and the same powers (from -10 to +6). Perhaps there's some kind of coating or something that makes the difference. Anybody know?

Wetting agent was added to enhance initial comfort. Some may be allergic to it where as others do just fine. I'm one that does just fine. The wetting agent wears off quickly on the outer surface but may remain on the inside surface for an extended period & cause irritation to those that are sensitive to it.
