Seems to me like your experience is good, but not great. They do fine except for things very close or very far away. Is this something you're willing to live with if your doctor can't make the proper adjustment? I'm not saying they can't, but it is a possibility.
How about the Focus Dailies you mentioned? Are they good for close, intermediate and distant viewing?

Multivision has great focus from 18in to about 500 ft. I can see well, but perhaps if I weren't switching back and forth, i'd get used to the distance vision. I read a computer fine, as well as a newspaper, but on some small print I still have to use readers. Focus Dailies have fantastic distance focus, but I need readers for anything up close, even a computer. I can always carry a reader around my neck, but if I am going to wear
glasses, why bother to have
contacts. I've tried over night, and works well. I hoping to make the full 30 days. I am considering Focus Dailies Progressive. They are more expensive, but my experiment with multiday use. I know it's not recommended, but some people do very successfully. One person told me that their father in law wore dailies for two weeks. Now that is pushing it.
