Not hot water, BOILING water. Put your case in boiling water and let it set for three minutes. Yes, most cases will melt, but some can take it. The case that comes with the Opti Fresh samples holds up well in boiling water. I get samples from my optician occasionally. Don't forget to ask your doc for sample cases and solution when you can.
