I agree with the part about asking your doctor about contact lens questions, but I see nothing wrong with a website like this one where people can trade ideas born of experience. I am not be a doctor, but I can tell you what has worked for me. That's what this forum is all about. People helping each other out? Will you still need your eye doctor? Of course you will, but coming to Lens 101 is cheaper, and you could always call your doctor to verify what you read. In fact, you should always verify with your doctor.

Looks to me like Acuvue and Paulette have the same advice. I think I would agree that your eye doctor would be the best person to consult when your eyes are suffering. A site like this is great for general information and personal testimony, but it's not exactly the fastest form of communication, so it's not the best place to go for relief of the pain you're feeling right now.
