I did try them when driving over from the west of Ireland to Germany and it's certainly easier just to throw them away in the evening and put fresh ones in, the next morning (especially if you're just grabbing a few hours kip in the car at a motor way service area).

But for every day use, they're not for me. Also handy in an emergency if you have lost or forgotten your regular lenses - cheap enough to buy a packet of them on holiday, etc.
