Here's the rest of the story. If you wear contacts, you need a backup pair of glasses anyway. I usually use my glasses first thing in the morning until I can get around to putting in my contacts. Glasses are also handy on long flights, because who in their right mind wants to wear contact lenses on an international flight????? Navigating in those bathrooms is more than a tad bit difficult. It's a real good place to lose a lens. I suppose daily disposables would be good for something like that...no cleaning necessary!!!
