Hi brownfish. Your best bet would be to ask your eye doctor if 8.6 is close enough for you. It should be. From what I understand, that would be like wearing size 37 jeans on a size 36 waist. Not a perfect fit, but doable.
Did your doctor actually give you a prescription for
Focus Dailies with an 8.7 base curve? He probably should have known better, but I'm not a professional, so there may be a method to his madness.
