Have you ever tried monovision with contacts? That's where you wear one contact to correct your distance vision and a different strength contact in the other eye for seeing up close (the main reason people need bifocals/multifocals). It sounds crazy but I guess for a lot of people it works well - the brain just automatically figures out which eye to use for which task. It doesn't work for everyone, and I've heard some people get headaches or even dizziness with it, but you may want to discuss it with your eye doctor. If you are one of the lucky ones and are able to see well with monovision, you would have a lot more choices for colored contact lenses. Just a thought.
