Hello and Happy New Year!
(Maybe that will make you feel cooler if you're reading this in August.

)
I read a question on another forum (Not as good as Lens 101, of course!) from a woman who says that she was wearing
PureVision toric
contacts with monovision. Now, if I know my
contact lens vocabulary, monovision contacts use one eye for close vision, while the other is for distance vision and toric contacts are for astigmatism. Now, if a person has astigmatism, wouldn't it be in both eyes? Does that mean one eye has a "nearsighted" toric contact lens while the other has a "farsighted" toric contact? Can they do that? Is that really expensive if it's possible?
I hope someone can explain this to me.
