I too, have had these issues with Ciba Vision's new version of the
contacts. They are most definately not the same and almost ruined my wedding day no less. For some reason I was smart enough to bring the last one of the old lens I had as my spare and was able to wear it to the wedding (which was out of town). I thought sure when I got back I would find another lens that worked. No dice. I tried PureVision, Oasys, Proclear Compatibles,
Acuvue Advance, SoftLens 38 and
Avaira. Avair was pretty good, just a bit heavy if folks need something different to try.
That being said, after I found this forum I thought to myself, lets see what companies have out there. Len.com could not guarantee they would send me the old version (it was a throw of the dice) even when I said others had had good luck with them. A place called CoastalContacts.com did, and had my lenses. So I got a 2 year supply. Which will last me a year and a half since I replace every 3 weeks. Hopefully by then, Ciba will have fixed the problem. I am now going to send them a detailed complaint.
If you need a place to try, that gives another option.
