I tried contact lenses and got my required "spare pair of glasses for emergencies" and the new prescription was for progressive lenses and I still can not get used to them! I just can't focus through them. The multifocal B&L soflens I could see with fine right from the start but the material apparently didnt work for me I got headaches after a couple hours and went back to monovision which has worked very well for me. I feel like I would have done better to get two spair pair of readers for the glasses than wasted all that money on the progressives!
