Default How To Clean Accuflex 154C Sunglasses

Does anyone have any good ideas for cleaning Accuflex 154C sunglasses without scratching them? I've heard that using cleaner with a spray can damage them also. So what do you use?

Also, if you carefully clean your 154C's, and they still wind up getting scratched, can you return them to the manufacturer and get a free replacement pair?

I typically use a spray bottle with some non-ammonia cleaner in it and wipe dry with a soft cloth.

If you should happen to scratch them while cleaning them, I doubt if you can get a refund. That sort of thing is not a factory defect and is therefore not returnable. In other words, it's not the manufacturer's or the seller's fault that your sunglasses are scratched.

Thanks for the reply Droopy. I can see your point about the scratched lenses.

I'm glad I was able to help, Adric. Carefully clean your sunglasses with non-ammonia cleaner.

For all the folks at home, tell me why I need to stay away from ammonia. I'll let you say it.

I've heard that cleaning your sunglasses with products that contain ammonia can clean the anti-reflective coating right off of them. So does that then mean that if your sunglasses don't have this coating, then an ammonia cleaner is okay?

That's my understanding Droopy, but as my friends can testify, I've been wrong before.
