Default Emerald green on hazel/green eyes

I really love this lens on my eye, having switched from FreshLook Dimensions
for better comfort and I prefer the effect of the complete tint on the lens and no gap in the pupil hole area, it also produces a lighter green than dimensions
but here are some pics cos they are fun
first is of my natural eye colour

Thanks for the pictures, hagfi635. Those lenses really are a nice color.

I ordered a box finally after approval from my eye doc! They'll be here sometime next week and I'll have to post my own pics! I like them about 1 million times more than the Freshlook Dimensions!

My iris is too big for the tint but it's hardly noticeable. I can see it in macro pictures but have trouble seeing with a magnification mirror in real life so I figure it's not an issue in real life conversations.

Nope. Just a solid tint all through the lens's tinted area.

That's actually pretty close to your natural color. Were you hoping for just a subtle change?

Looks very nice, and I'm glad to see what emerald does for hazel eyes. Mine are the same color as yours - very, very close indeed.

I've not looked into colored lenses before so I wasn't aware of the iris/pupil options. I wasn't aware the pupil could be colored - I guess I imagined that would have you seeing green, so to speak.

Yes, and like they say, "it's not easy seeing green."

hehe, even though the lenses are green over the pupil hole there is no issue with it, everything appears normal and not green

Do you think you might like to try some colored contact lenses, JohnGalt? If so, what color?

Yeah, I don't know. If I could just pick some up for funsies, I'd probably try a green and a blue. My eyes are hazel, but mostly green - I think aquamarine would be an interesting choice.

I think I'd have to see my eye doc and ask for a new prescription for colored lenses, and get fitted, yes? And I might feel a little weird doing that. Probably a silly macho thing, but what are you going to do?

I also don't think I'd want people to know I'm wearing colored lenses... Again the macho thing. I'm a pretty normal guy, not a fancy lad or a model or anything.

Yes, if you decided to try colored contact lenses, even for "funsies," you need to see your doctor and get fitted. If you think that your reluctance to get fitted is a "silly macho thing" then you agree that it's silly and you shouldn't let it stop you from buying colored contact lenses if you want to.

I'm not here to try to talk you into getting colored contacts, but let me leave you with this final thought. If you had some nice Aquamarine contact lenses, maybe you could pretend you were a fancy lad or a model. Wouldn't that be fun?

What brand of lenses are these? I was under the impression that "all over tint" lenses only changed the color of light eyes, but it seems to have given you significant lightening. They look really nice.

They are Acuvue 2 enhancers and yes they make my eyes green, even though my eyes become light brown at night they still are green with these in which is awesome. They are especially prettiest during the day though

Yeah I can see how some of those pictures are more green than your natural color, but it looks like it could be your naturally green eyes.

I've seen this thread a few times, and it's always intrigued me, because my eyes are pretty close to the color of the original poster. I had always been prescribed opaque colored lenses, and assumed that was because my natural color was too dark for "enhancer" lenses to show up. But now I'm thinking...maybe not. I love my opaque lenses, but they do have one drawback - the telltale giveaway - when the natural color is peeking out through the pupil hole. My lenses have a comparatively small pupil hole, but if you look closely, you can tell, especially if it goes slightly off-center. These Acuvue's have an all-over tint with no pupil hole. Hmm, I'm due for an eye exam soon. I think I'm going to ask if I could try a pair of these Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers. Thanks hagfi365!

I hope you'll come back and tell us if your doctor gives you a trial pair of Acuvue 2 Enhancers and what you think of them. Maybe you'll be inspired to post some pictures.

Do people routinely get close enough to you to see your pupils?

Default I also wear these

I wear the Emerald enhancers pretty much everyday. I have natural green eyes with some yellow in them and these really make my eyes the most vivid green ever, especially in sunlight.
People usually stare at me, trying to see the pupil hole that would tell them I'm wearing colored contacts but the Enhancers don't have any, so people usually end up asking if it's my real eye color. I love it!

I don't see a difference as far as "seeing green".

I also have the Aqua Acuvue 2 enhancers and they make my eyes a bit more blue and also quite nice but not as vivid as the Emerald.

I'm renewing my prescription for colored contacts next week so I'll probably try a few different colors to see what would look nice on me.

I'll also post pictures as soon as I have my 15 posts :-)
