Don't bother with enhancers if you have very dark eyes. Go for opaques.

You don't have dark brown eyes, do you catt? Which color would you recommend for someone who has dark brown eyes?

And my pick would probably be the baby aqua ones.

Am noticing that the attached FreshKon pics that I previously posted (twice now) are not here. Am thinking that they finally made their way to the dreaded Bermuda Triangle (along with my tack hammer, and a certain brand of sunglasses) Anyway if it does not resurface here, check them out over at Colored contact lens
Are you talking about that advertisement for FreshKon contact lenses? I can see that plainly. You must have posted something else, then, huh?

Speaking of the Bermuda Triangle, have you been to Bermuda? I have and let me tell you, I was very tempted to "disappear."

Oh, is this your tack hammer? I found it in Bermuda.

Bermuda's looking very tempting these days, when there's a foot of snow outside. It doesn't snow where you are, does it catt?

Did you see that post here in Lens 101 where someone theorized that all our missing sunglasses were orbiting Saturn?

I saw that Saturn post and it made me laugh.

So do we have any recommendations on contact lens colors for people who have really dark brown eyes?

Hmmm. You must have taken a lot of cruises back in the day, huh catt? You probably wore sunglasses every day.

It looks like your Freshkon pictures have reappeared.

Hi catt,

I peeked at your profile. Do you realize that of the nearly 300 posts you've added to Lens 101, only 11 of them were to start a new thread? That's a bit over 3% of your total.

I just thought that was interesting. Back to work.

Not to get off on a ZZ Top tangent, but I'm told that the guys turned down a lucrative offer from a razor blade company to shave off those trademark whiskers. They said that they were too ugly.

I suppose the razor company had to come up with another advertising idea. Do you think they told the band "You got me under pressure"?

Was that a stretch?

Do you have any pictures on this site where you're modeling your sunglasses, catt? Maybe you can try a pose like this so we can see your contact lenses too.

has anyone tried yellow tinted see-through contact lenses on brown eyes?...

im pretty sure since you use the tinted blue or green contact lenses on brown eyes they make it way darker, which makes sense on real life. But what about trying just yellow? (not the halloween ones). Im pretty positive that the result will be an amber or something def lighter, specially on medium or light brown eyes... Do you guys think it can work?, has anyone tried it?...

Good one, Little Elvis. I had to scroll up before I got to the part about Catt losing her tack hammer. Nice work. I'm promoting you to Supreme Ultimate um . . .

So have we found out what color contact lenses work best with dark brown eyes? I would imagine that only brown would look good under such circumstances.

I noticed that, too. I thought I heard a rumor about catt leaving Lens 101. I hope she didn't contact the Administrator and request that all of her posts be removed? What purpose would that serve?

Trust me colored contacts look fake, I mean to me they don't look nice on all for dark eyes (such as myself) - real light eyes have this clearness to them - but contacts are more of a block color such as green, blue on a paper.

They are developing this new thing called Lumineyes - it is getting released in a few years time. It used a laser beam to detract the pigment in your Iris making them lighter either like Green, Blue, Light Brown or maybe even Amber - it depends what your underlying pigment is as well though - this underlying color pigment though is usually only in Caucasoid cell structures (which includes which many people don't know actually Indians and Arabs as well) - this means that these people can easily get this procedure done once it comes out.

However it will be hard for Black African Negroid and East Asian (Mongoloid) people to have this procedure done - mostly due to the fact that they usually don't have any underlying pigment and for them it can easily cause glaucoma - and other eye related problems as it is unnatural for them.

What Lumineyes does is detract the pigment (as I said before) actually this is also a natural process which happens to many people as they age - Amitabh Bachan (the Indian actor) used to have dark brown eyes , but now his eyes are blue and Al Pacino used to have Black eyes but now his eyes are a bright green!

This post is kind of irrelevant - but I just posted it to say that colored contacts would never look as good as the real thing such as Paul Newman, Hrithik Roshan or real light eyes - but when this surgery comes out and it is proven 100% safe it will be possible.

Oh, I don't know. I think a lot of the color contact lenses here on Lens 101 look pretty realistic; especially the vial lenses. As long as you're a natural distance away they will most likely look fine.

I once new a girl who wore these bright, neon blue contact lenses, but besides her, I've never looked at someone and though "She's wearing colored contact lenses."
Maybe it's just me.

I agree Tradecade. Most decent contact lenses look pretty good at a normal social distance. Nobody likes a close talker.
