Default Enhancers or Opaques?
If you've got really light blue eyes--almost gray--would an enhancer contact lens or an opaque be recommended for a better color change?

The opaque is what you'd want to actually change your color.

what is the difference between opaque and enhancers in terms of effect on your eyes?

I believe that enhancers are designed to tint or draw attention to a natural eye-colour, while opaques are designed to actually change your eye-colour.
