I love the idea that these enhance what you already have but you can clearly see your eyes, not a smudge of color that totally covers them up!

If Acuvue hasn't used "You, But Better" as an advertising slogan by now, they should! Royalties to Lacey Anne.

First post, long time Acuvue 2 colours wearer...just ordered a few of the other colors (blue and aquamarine) along with the favored green...they enhance my blue/green/gray eyes...look much prettier, they were nice before but green is "wow, is THAT your natural eye color?"!!! So much so that I ordered the others this time to subdue the wow factor...I'm older (54), and corporate so maybe I'm a bit too old to go for wow, sometimes I feel self-concious at meetings! Green is excellent though...

Hi donnellyk. Allow me to welcome you to Lens 101. I think you're going to like it here.

It sounds like you found a really nice color. I don't think your age has anything to do with your eye color. If you like the "wow" green eyes, then enjoy them. I can see why you're hesitant to wear them at work, though. My job has a dress code and I don't think bright green eyes would fit in very well. That's okay. Wear the contacts after work and on weekends. They'll last longer that way if you subscribe to the theory that contact lenses like these are good for a certain number of wears, not a certain number of days. Ask your eye doctor about an "after work" wearing schedule.

Tell us more about your Acuvue 2 Colours contacts. Are they the Enhancers?

Enhancers, yes, they are really fine for work but sometimes I get tired of the "compliments" (!) and explaining "yes, these ARE my REAL eyes, do you mean am I wearing contacts?" They're very pretty, just very green!

I'm glad your Enhancers are getting you lots of attention, although it sounds like it's beginning to be a bit much.

I'm trying to think of a cute "are those real?" comment, but I can't think of anything that doesn't sound dorky. So I think I'll just leave it at that.

How about some pictures of those bright green eyes of yours?

That would depend on what you want them for, I suppose. If you want them as part of a costume that you plan to use more than once at various conventions or something, I say go for it. If you're thinking about wearing them every day or, conversely, only for one special event, then maybe they're not such a great idea.

Go for it 008erica. Before you make a purchase, check out the sponsor of your beloved Lens 101. Just click on the red rectangle at the top of the page and look for your lenses on Lens.com. I don't know if they have those Barbie Eyes contacts, though. You might want to check under "Novelty Contact Lenses."

So have you pulled the trigger and bought the contacts you asked about, 008erica?

Have you at least checked out Lens.com, 008erica? What do you think? Is it a nice web site?

If you seriously want to tell them about your slogan idea, you can call them at (800) 843-2020 Monday through Friday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time.

If you prefer pen and paper (or computer and printer):
Customer Relations
D-QA
7500 Centurion Parkway
Jacksonville, FL 32256

Email form: http://www.acuvue.com/contact_us.htm

Good luck! Let me know how they react. My guess is they will politely tell you to get lost.

Can they really do that? Make you feel better about you all over? (You're right. Great slogan.) I mean, contact lenses are great, but I don't get how they could make someone feel great all over.

I can't speak for faithib, but for me, when I've got some nice clothes, I feel good all over too.

Yeah, but a tuxedo isn't the same thing as contact lenses though. I can understand why someone would feel good wearing a tux (Especially if they looked like Sean Connery to begin with). I just don't think I'd feel the same way with Acuvue 2 Enhancers.

So is the young lady in that picture you posted getting ready for a special event, or is that how she looks every day?

I have a question, I've read reviews that mention the enhancer contacts tint their vision, (since the color covers the pupil as well..) is this noticeable, and/or irritating?

I didn't know the color covers the pupil. Does anyone have a picture of one of these lenses so we can see the pupil opening?

I agree. A sweater with green and white stripes isn't exactly what you call formal.

Are you answering Wendy94's comment when he/she said "So is the young lady in that picture you posted getting ready for a special event, or is that how she looks every day?" It's a lot easier to follow your reply when you use the quote thing.

I'm pretty sure the "enhancer" contacts for light eyes are all over colors unless you get Freshlook Demensions. The colors for dark eyes have the clear pupil beacause they use more dense colors.

What do you mean "all over colors"? Does the color cover the pupils too? That would look weird when you wear them.

It does cover your pupil but these enhancer colors are kinda sheer, like looking through colored water. They don't color your pupils because they aren't s strong, dense color. That's why they are a waste of time for dark eyes. They are meant to only enhance light eyes.

The FreshLook Dimensions However are not all over colors and they are also made for light eyes. Take a look at this thread to see what they look like in a couple pics I posted. http://www.lens101.com/acuvue-2-colours-enhancers/9295-acuvue-2-colours-enhancers-your-beady-little-eyes.html

I just ordered the Acuvue 2 Colour Enhancers in Aqua so as soon as I get them I'll post a pic. I used to wear them so if they are still made the same way, they are the ones that the color covers the eye but is a sheer color. Hope I'm making sense.

Sweet! Mine shipped via FedEX Smart Post. The delivery date initially said 2 days later than when they actually arrived! I was pleasantly surprised!

Mine's coming FedEx but IDK when yet. Still waiting for it to get into FedEx hands. I gotta keep reminding myself I just ordered them yesterday morning. :P

So it looks like we've got two members eagerly awaiting the arrival of their contact lenses in the mail Who will get theirs first? Who will be the first to put up a picture? I think they both need more posts before they can add a picture.

Did you and Jawsome both order your contact lenses from the same place? I tried looking through the thread to see, but I figured it would just be easier if I were to just come right out and ask you directly. We'll see how the Direct Approach works.

IDK where Jawsome ordered from but I ordered from Vision Direct. Ends up I don't really like the Acuvue Enhancers in Aqua but I ordered again and like the Focus Softcolors in Aqua.

Sorry about those Focus SoftColors. What was it about them that you didn't like? The color, they way the felt, or what? Did you get the Focus SoftColors yet? Let us know what you think of them.

It was the Acuvues I didn't like, not the Focus Softcolors. The Acuvue 2 Enhancers feel pretty dry about halfway through the day and the Aqua color in those make my eyes darker instead of brighter.

I got the Focus Softcolors really fast, within 4 days and I really like them. They feel great and the Aqua brightens my eyes without making them look too unreal the way the Freshlook Dimensions used to.

So far so good with the Focus Softcolors in Aqua. Give me a lil time to see if they last two weeks without starting to feel gritty halfway though and I'll be very happy.

Awesome. We'll check this space in two weeks. It will be close to Thanksgiving by then.

Here's hoping for non-gritty Focus Softcolors.

Why are we in the Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers section?

Cuz I tried those first and the thread just evolved to Focus when those worked for me and the Acuvue didn't. Just the nature of forum threads.

I wasn't too sure about why we were in this thread too, but what you say does make sense. I get it now.

You said the Acuvue 2 - Enhancers were too dry, didn't you?

Yes. They were uncomfortable after just a few hours and dificult, almost sticky feeling when I took them out. The Focus contacts don't do that. I also like the aqua color in the Focus better than the aqua in Acuvue 2.

Think we can get a picture of you in your Aqua Acuvue 2 lenses? Are those Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers?

I'm sorry I didn't get a pic when I was trying out the Acuvue Enhancers. They dried my eyes out too much so I didn't wear them long. I wear the Focus Softcolor Enhancers now.

I chose that picture because it exemplifies the "big eye anime" look. 008erica asked about "Barbie eyes or Dolly eyes." That young lady in the striped sweater looks pretty "Dolly-eyed" to me.

I was going for the telepathy thing, but I can see why you would think she was in pain, too.
