I was just wondering if anyone here has an idea regarding how long the Acuvue 2 colours lenses last?

I assume it depends on how many days they're worn, but can you wear them a day or two now and then over time and still get the same amount of wears out of them?

Here's what the Acuvue website says, and I quote, um . . . copy and paste. Ahem: "Remove and clean daily up to two weeks OR wear continuously up to six nights then replace with a fresh pair. Ask your eye doctor which wearing schedule is right for you."

So, that's the official line. That's if you wear your contacts regularly. You'll notice that the first part says "remove and clean daily up to two weeks." If you don't wear them daily, you can wear them up to 14 times, so if you skip a day now and then, be very sure to keep track of when you wear them. Maybe mark it on your calendar. Once you've inserted them fourteen times without ever sleeping on them, throw them away.
