Default acuvue 2 color question

i currently have Acuvue 2 contacts with a BC of 8.7. i want to try the opaque Acuvue 2 color contacts, but they only come in BC 8.3.

I know i am supposed to see my doctor regarding this but at this time i am unable to. i am wondering what risk i am taking by ordering the BC 8.3?

There's a pretty big difference between an 8.3 and an 8.7 base curve. It would be be like trying to wear a size 3 shoe when you should be wearing a size 7.

Besides, if you try to order contact lenses with a base curve of 8.3 from a reputable source, they will not sell them to you if your prescription says 8.7.
If you try to order contact lenses from a company that's not reputable, well then all bets are off.

There are quite a few lenses have have a base curve if 8.6, so check with your doctor to see if you can wear an 8.6.

i can wear a BC 8.6 and yes, there are colored lenses with that BC but then the DIA is a 14.5 and i need a 14.0 diameter. ive done a lot of research and can't seem to find colored lenses with a BC of 8.6/8.7 and DIA of 14.

Hmmm . . . that's too bad. It seems like you're in the hard-to-fit category. Have you tried checking around the sponsor's website. lens.com? They've got quite a few choices when it comes to contact lenses. Just click on the big red button up at the top of this page.

Not the round one below, even though it says to press it. Don't press that one. Click the rectangular red button at the top of the page that says "Lens.com."

I think I had a nice weekend, although you gave me that sentiment about a month ago. I don't recall any horrible weekends lately so I think I'm good.

Am I over thinking this?

Yes, I think so. It's okay though. Perhaps you can compensate for those who "under think."
