I do like the colors, I would rate them a 8 or 9 out of ten, very satisfied.

8 or 9 sounds about right. My best friend wears them and she seems very happy with them.

Default Acuvue 2 Colours Opaques - Are You Satisfied?

Hey, that's fantastic. 8 or 9 out of ten is better than I expected. I'm kind of curious about why neither of you went so far as to give Acuvue 2 Colours Opaques a 10. Is there something you don't like about them, or do you hesitate to grant them the score of a perfect 10?

I almost started wearing Acuvue2 Colors (green) way back in 2003. I remember trying them for the first time and thinking "eeewwww, gross". I found the color less than flattering. Perhaps the color of green they have now is much better.
Color = 0
Comfort = 7 or 8

I have these in no prescription Hazel and Honey. The Honey looks pretty fake on me. The Hazel I like better. Also they slide and make me appear that I am looking in different directions. They do not stay centered.

I am new to contacts and have nothing to compare them to so please bear that in mind. They are not comfortable and again they are non prescription. I do see blury at times and if I had to look at a computer screen and actually read, or read a book, I see headache in the works. I always know they are there.

At first, before receiving them I thought I wanted to sleep in these (DR said I could sleep in these as they are extended wear) but after wearing I can't wait to get them out. I did go to the doctor to get fitted and actually purchased them from the doctor who ordered them from J&J.

I hear these are pretty comfortable compared to others out there. I guess I just need to get used to them. I have only been wearing for about 3 weeks on and off.

So what did I do just the other day? I ordered a bunch of new ones, different brands and colors.

I found this picture on a website that I'm assuming is up to date. Do you see anything you like, catt? How about a nice Jade Green?

Well, since this is just a day after you posted this response, I guess I'll have to wait for your review. Let us know what you think of this new batch, okay? Pictures would be awesome.

Am I seeing things? (pardon the pun), but I can find no discernible difference between either of the blue lenses. One thing that I have learned over the years, is that whatever color you see on a fake Photoshoped eyeball, is not necessarily the same color it's going to be on you. If my eyes would look as good as the "jade green" ones, I would for sure buy at least one pair.

Well, the Sapphire Blue looks a little darker than Deep Blue to me. The two shades of green they offer, however, are very similar.

I agree, catt, the only way you're going to know how colored contacts are going to look in your eyes is to try them on.

John316 - will do

catt - although it has most likely been said a 100 times that the same contacts on two people with very similar eyes still look different, I feel that the only way to really know what is going to go well is put them in and look in a few different lighting settings. Also having a live and in person friend give an honest opinion is important.

The photos I have of myself in these lenses (Accuvue 2 opaque Hazel) look really good - but in real life they look, well, like fake contact lenses, even though they are really close to my nat color. They are too small on my iris and are never centered, so I constantly have crescent moons of my real color on the lower insides of my eyes - very noticeable. It could be a bad fit from my Dr. I don't know. They may be excellent on other people. You really need to shop around and take many on a test drive in order to get what you want - especially if you are real picky like me.

I ordered about 6 different pairs that are coming soon. I can't see myself (pun intended) wearing the Acuvue's any longer.

When I am ready to do the picture thing (crop and host) I will post in a comparison thread. Also I will post the Acuvues here as well.

I would like to do all the work and post all at the same time.

Hello! I actually got all the color samples today from my eye doctor and I must say that I truly fell in love with jade green, deep blue, and sapphire blue. they look so natural! Especially the green, I thought they were going to look fake but they look like real eye colors! I think I'm ordering a pair in deep blue. so overall I'm satisfied with these opaques. 10/10!!!!

I recieved a different pair of lenses yesterday and to keep this thread on topic I just want to say that Acuvue 2 Colors OPAQUE have a "hard" iris and pupil opening, meaning that if your pupil is larger (due to available light) than the pupil hole of the lens then you will see blurry. Also if the contacts float a bit, and they all do, you will also see blurry even if your pupil are small. I used to see blurry with these even in bright sunligt when my pupils were tiny. Basically these were always blurry for me.

The new pair I rec'd are not opaques and the eye hole is graduated or staggered and my natural color bleeds through this center part. Again please note that the pupil hole on the lens is not a round hard edge butted up against the lens's hard colored, opaque colored iris, but rather a graduated star like fade with the color darker and more opaque at the outter iris rim.

Bottom line is this way of designing lenses allows for maximum visibility. Also the look is natural as well for darker eyes.

If by "blinkers" you mean eyes with contact lenses, catt has several pictures posted.

Here's where you can see her eyes: http://www.lens101.com/color-contact-lenses/11940-purple-violet-contact-lenses.html

Here's a thread where you can see her lovely face: http://www.lens101.com/expressions-colors/55877-picture-natural-touch-expressions.html

So, yeah, I guess you're missing something.

Just ordered me some freshlook color blends in hazel and gray. I disliked the acuvues. They just looked too fake on me . So ordred freshlook and very happy with colors i got and i havw brown eyes. They look natural enough for me. Comfort is same as acuvue

I really disliked them.

I got the hazel and the green both barely showed up on my Dark Brown eyes.
I am asian and have the deeper colored eyes, so then I tried the Acuvue 2 grey and they looked very un-natural and too solid.

I am now using Freshlook Colorblends in Sterling Grey and they are FANTASTIC. They look a little more natural and are more comforatable.

i so agree w ITGIRL, Acuvue was so blah and fake and solid. For amount of money i paid on Amazon I am super happy w my Grey Freshlooks. Green ones are a bit dark army green on me. Also thinking about getting Solotica Hidrochrome in Verde . Amazon carrys it so I rather stay with them since safe.

I didn't realize those contacts had such large pupil holes. I like the color, but there's a lot of brown showing through.

Yeah, I noticed that large pupil opening, too. It really makes it easy to see the brown color beneath the gray contact lenses. Maybe they look more natural in bright light from a comfortable distance.

Judging by the pictures you've posted here, catt, you kinda sorta look like Michelle Pfeiffer. You're both blonde anyway.

As I mentioned earlier, I WISHED that I resembled Michelle Pfeiffer -- even from a distance.

As you can see from this pic taken last month, I am not blond (but getting closer every 2 months or so); however, it does look like I have blue eyes (FreshLook Colors Violet). Love this photo with my daughter, so I left her in. And. . . NO, she does not normally have black hair or eyebrows and she does NOT have brown eyes.

That's a nice picture of you and your daughter, catt. She's pretty. Thanks for posting it. I think I've seen pictures of your daughter on this site before. Did she have black hair and brown eyes then?

In dragongirl's defense, you look kinda blond to me, and it seems to me that, for guys anyway, if you don't have black hair, you're blonde. Maybe "dragongilrl81" thinks like a guy. I get that from my female friends all the time. I say "Look at at that girl's blue hair" and they say "It's not blue, it's teal." To which I reply "Whatever."
