Default Making Brown Eyes Blue . . . or Green

I'm thinking about changing my brown eyes, and I'm kind of leaning toward Acuvue Opaques. Does anyone have an opinion about which lenses do the best job of covering brown eyes?

the greens look really muddy and dark on brown eyes (i've tried them out). I'd go with the blue for a noticeable change.

Hi jellymelly14. Thanks for posting. Do you have any pictures you want to post with your blue eyes?

Jellymelly14 has pictures all over this site. She looks good in all of them. (I can tell you that jellymelly14 is a she, or at least all the pictures associated with that name look like the same girl.) You know how to do a search for a particular Lens 101 member, right?

We're glad, too, jelly.

How many different kinds have you modeled here? They're not all pictures of the same pair are they?

Four total I guess. Acuvue 2 in green, deep blue, and sapphire blue, and Illusions Soft Blue. I'm going to be trying illusions deep blue next. =T

Since every lens have a hole for your pupil i always tell people with dark eyes to avoid blue ... If you get something green or hazel the brown in gonna blend nicely and look more natural.

I have light brown/hazel eyes and the green was covering it perfectly. But this brand unfortunetely doesn't fit me

You've got a lot of contacts to model. Maybe you can be the official face of Lens 101, jellymelly14.

Now there's an idea. Maybe you can contact lens.com and work out some kind of arrangement. You might even get them to pay you to be their spokesmodel. It could be a whole new career for you, jelly. How's your runway strut?

Haha, I wonder what would happen if I did go about doing that. I email 'em...

"uh...can I model your colored contacts, please? And can you like, give them to me for free? Or maybe like, pay me?" lol!

You should put a portfolio together and go for it! I've seen your pictures on this forum. You'd make a great model!

Hi jellymelly,

How about in the meantime, you keep posting pictures of yourself here, maybe with different color contacts? Possibly different outfits and poses. Maybe you'll be "discovered" here. Lens 101 could be your portfolio!
Just remember the website that helped you get your big break.

Aw, that's too bad.

You know, you could post some more pictures with the contact lenses you already have. Did you get a new shirt or something for Christmas you want to model as well?

Isn't it nice to have strangers begging for pictures?

Well, that's what you get for posting such nice pictures in the past.

As I said in another thread, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. Just understand that you've become rather popular on this forum. In the other pictures you posted you looked so good in your contact lenses that people want to see more. Is that so weird?
My guess is that you want people to see you with your contacts and think "She looks nice." That's exactly what's happening here.

Still, you have to decide what's best for you. Whether you put up more pictures or not, I wish you beautiful, comfortable eyes in 2011.

Thank you!! I mostly post pictures of me with my contacts b/c I know when I buy contacts, I want to know what they look like in real life, on real eyes. It sucks to buy a pair and find they look nothing like the sample pictures, and it happens a lot, plus it's a waste of money. So I when I buy some I post pictures and reviews for other people so they get an idea of what they are and what they look like so they can make an informed decision and not waste money, especially with vial, yearly contacts which can be very expensive. =)

Those are some really good reasons to post picture, and it's why I like to look at pictures of people wearing contact lenses on this forum. I want to see how they look on real, non-airbrushed people.

Thanks for getting the attention away from jellymelly, Aisha. She's cute and all, but I was beginning to think that you've forgotten about the one who started this thread.

I'm having a hard time believing that the only difference between those two pictures is a little airbrushing. It looks like the wall behind the bride was shifted over by about three feet.

I think the "airbrushing" was applied directly to the model, not the picture. One was taken before she put on her makeup and one after.

Yeah, if you compare the two pictures you can tell that she at least put on some lipstick.

That's some subtle makeup on that bride. The only difference I can see is the lipstick. Here eyes look different too, I guess. I'm not into makeup all that much.

You're right Juicer. The lipstick is different.

Did you ever hear a two-year-old try to say "lipstick"? They keep saying "lickstick" or "lipstip." They can't seem to change gears on the consonants so good.

What's a two-year-old need with lipstick anyway?

Sometimes it takes them even longer than that to get the hang of saying "lipstick."

I got is off on this lipstick tangent, didn't I? Sorry.

To make up for it, I'll bring us back to the original question. Do Acuvue 2 Colors - Opaque work well for covering brown eyes?

Don't look at me. I don't wear Acuvue 2 Colors, or lipstick, for that matter.

I wouldn't mind being the recipient of a lipstick transfer, however.
