Would Acuvue 2 Colors in Jade Green look natural in blue eyes? Can someone please post a picture so I can see how big the pupil hole is? Thanks a bunch!

I would like to see those, too. I've never really seen them up close.

Okay, we all agree that pictures would be nice. Who's going to step up and post some?

Okay, so we still haven't found anyone who would be willing to post a picture of themselves wearing Jade Green Acuvue 2 Colours contact lenses in their blue eyes. It's been a year and a half so far. What's taking so long?

I wouldn't call a thread with seven posts "inactive." I think it's more a matter of people being shy and/or not knowing how to post pictures.

Would you say that was true, Lens 101 readers?

Yes, I think that's a good explanation. I think this site seems to be picking up, though. I'm starting to see more questions being answered. I think people are starting to look and see if they can answer some previous questions before they post new ones, which is a Good Thing.

I use the Acuvue 2 jade green & love the color. My eyes are kind of bluish, greenish, gray with brown around the pupil. You can see some of the brown around the pupil, but the rest is a really pretty green (at least I think so). I think the brown showing through at the center actually makes them look more authentic. They're not quite as bright green as the pic in the previous post. I'll try to post a pic later.

Hi Tamiw5. Welcome to Lens 101. I'm glad that you're happy with your Acuvue 2 contacts in Jade Green. I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures, based on your description.
I find it interesting that you think that the brown showing through the pupil hole looks "more authentic." Do you know anybody whose real eye color looks like this?

Yeah, mine. It's more of a honey brown or gold, not dark brown around the pupil. Here are pix with & without (the first is my natural color, the second is with the green lens in). Sorry about the quality, but getting a good picture of your eye is harder than you'd think.

Thanks for posting a picture tamiw5. The color looks nice, even if it's a little fuzzy. it's kind of ironic that a picture on a contact lens site would be blurry. I must say I've never tried to take a picture of my own eye. Maybe you can get a friend or family member to help you next time, but I think we get the idea. Thanks again.

Meanwhile, here's a picture of some jade to give you an idea of what color it is.

Okay, that's what color Jade is supposed to be. Cool. The contact lens pictured above doesn't look as green as the stone does. It looks more brown, probably because of the brown iris beneath.

I tried again & the pix turned out a little better. I have in both contacts in the first picture, and one only in my left eye in the second.

Thanks for the pictures, tamiw5.

It may just be my monitor, but I see a very subtle difference between your two eyes in that second picture. Judging by what I see on my screen, your eyes are almost the same color as these contacts.

You're right, J-mark. Tami's eyes looks to be almost the same color with and without the contact lenses in. Does it make a big change in your opinion, Tamiw5, or were you going for a subtle change all the time?
