Acuvue 2 new packaging lenses defective

Have anyone alese experienced problems with the Acuvue 2 that are in the new style packaging?

the new style has curved corner on the plastic packaging. The old packaging is fully rectangular and has a distinctive green band on the foil.

You cannot tell the difference just by looking at the box, but possibly the lot numbers can distinguish this.

Both lenese are made in Ireland.

Im basically asking this becasue ive noticed that when I wear the new packaged lenses, I cannot see far away objects clearly. At first i thought i was just imagining this , but then i put in some of the older packaged lenses I still had and the difference was very noticeable.

So frustrating becasue now im stuck with these boxes of bad lenses. JnJ have definitely changed something in the newly packaged lenses.

Now i need to find a suplier who only stocks the 'older' style packaging, which i believe are better quality.

ive attached a pic of the older style packaging, along with the box.

Hello there, eyeman23. Welcome to Lens 101.

I tried searching the Internet for information about new packaging, but I didn't find anything. The closest thing I found was how Acuvue contact lenses can create a "new you." I expected to find something that said "Guess what? Acuvue 2 is New, Improved and Better Than Ever! You're gonna love this!" I didn't though.

Maybe someone else knows more about this that I do. I'm sure lots of people do. I just hope they show up.

Sorry to hear that you're having this problem. I just checked my boxes and they are the old packaging. I got them from a division of drugstore.com about a month ago.

Maybe you could e-mail JnJ and let us know what they have to say?
