I was reading recently about this guy who wears Acuvue 2 contacts. He says that when he first started wearing contacts, there was some soreness at first, but that was expected and they soon settled down and he was able to wear them comfortably. The the weird stuff began. When he would be driving at night he noticed that there was a "rainbow" effect around all the lights. Apparently the contacts somehow were able to split the light into spectral colors like a prism.
I'm not looking for some advice, really, because it didn't happen to me personally. I was just kinda wondering if maybe this same thing has happened to anyone else and if this had ever been explained to you. Were you able to see normally after some kind of adjustment or change in contacts? Thanks. |

Yes, I have been having the same problem with seeing the prisms of circles at night around all the street lights and vehicle head & tail lights. The last 3 boxes I have went through have done this. I wonder what is causing this? I sure hope they will fix this problem or I will be switching for sure. Thanks Nursenancy for posting this. It is so great to know I am not the only one having this problem

I thought I read something here on Lens 101 about halos around lights. It said that when you're out at night and your pupils dilate beyond the optic zone of the contact lenses, the result is halos. |
