I read some stuff here on Lens 101 about Acuvue 2 contacts. I couldn't seem to find anything to answer my question, though.
They are supposed to be worn for 12 hours a day. Would there be a problem with wearing them for a little longer than that? Maybe 16 or 17 hours? I know the 12 hour limit is there for a reason, but I bet there are a lot of people reading this forum who are wondering about the same thing. I'm not advocating over-wearing contacts at all, but stuff happens, you know? If they can find a little peace of mind in knowing that they can wear their contacts a few hours over in an emergency and not suffer any permanent damage, well, that's one less thing to worry about. Thanks. |
