Acuvue 2 Turning Yellow

Do Acuvue 2 contact lenses turn yellow after a bit? These being two week lenses they aren't in your eye for every long, so can they actually become discolored?

Some say it's from too much UV in sunlight and I even heard a theory that the yellowing is due to the pollen in the air!

Can someone help to clear this up for me?

I've been wondering the same thing, so I looked it up and everywhere I searched, I couldn't find any kind of answer. I finally just asked my eye doctor today and he asked me if I was a smoker. I am. I smoke nearly a pack a day. My contact lenses always start to yellow or become a yellowish brown after a couple of days. He told me that it was because of the nicotene. If you're a smoker, then there's your answer. If not, then I'm not quite sure, but I'll keep checking into it.
