Default What's the difference?

My doctor has switched me to the Acuvue 2 lens from the old Acuvue. What are the differences between the two?

They are almost the exact same lens, one of the differences is the thickness the accuve is 0.014 thinner in the -3.00 lens than the accuvue 2 and the edge design may be different. The material and water content the same. Both are approved for daily and extended wear. The accuve 2 comes in slightly different base curves. The only reason why your doctor would be switching you out of the accuvue 2 is the fact that they are being phased out or discontinued.
