Default i tried these and they bothered me...

i've read some things that suggest people have had similar experiences with Acuvue Advance for astigmatism, and i'm sure it's because everyones' eyes are different. but i tried these as a trial and they were irritating to me. i felt them in my eyes, i had trouble getting them out, etc. they were slimy. they were also noticeably more visible in my eyes. i didn't notice some of the other problems others mentioned (peripheral vision issues), because i didn't keep them in long enough. i'm not sure that if i stuck it out that i would have somehow gotten used to them - does that ever happen? these are silicone hydrogel right? it was my first time using silicone, before just using regular soft contact lenses (SofLens 66 toric). i guess that's all i have to say about those.

I couldn't get on with them either, found them to be uncomfortable. Oasys however are great for me.

thanks. i'm actually trying the Biofinity toric now, and then will be trying Proclear Toric, since that is what my doctor's advice is. the oasys is too close to the advanced, same brand, maybe same edges which may have caused the irritation. also, the doc didn't want to trial too many lenses, and neither did i.

It fairly common for contact lenses to feel strange at first. You say you used to wear SofLens 66 Toric lenses. Were those the first pair you ever tried? After people wear contact lenses for a while and try different brands it gets easier to move to something new.
