Default Acuve Advance For Astigmatism and Computers

Is there anyone out there in Forum-land that uses toric contact lenses like Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism while working in front of a computer all day? Do your eyes ever go blurry?

I've never experienced a big problem and being a PC tech I'm on either my computer or some other one all day.
There were occasions when my eyes got tired and I may have had a slight problem. It sounds like you're experiencing your eyes getting tired and affecting the way the lens sits and possibly causesing a problem with focus.

I found personally that taking breaks and letting my eyes rest from the up close work of the computer generally helped. Occasionally it was just a dry contact problem and drops helped.

Although, if they're not a good fit then they'll move. Trust me I've tried almost about every toric lens on the market and one kind will work and another won't (even with the exact same 'script.) This all depends on how the rest on your eye .

If a small focus problem at the end of the day is your only problem and everything else is OK then just take breaks and be thankful you found a good lens for you.

Thank you for your very detailed answer. I appreciate it. I just have one more question. When you say to "take breaks" what do you mean? Look out the window? Close my eyes? Go for a walk around the block?

Thanks again.

Yes, I have used Acuvue Advance and done computer work. It is frustrating for me. My eyes become blurry and dry. I am now trying Air Optix for Astigmatism. So far , I don't like these lenses either. too thick and protein buildup so far. Lets see what will happen next.

Hi Swift. What's the latest on your contact lens situation. Are the Air Optix for Astigmatism any better than the Acuvue Advance?
