Default Are Cheap Acuvue Advance For Astigmatism Just as Good as the More Expensive Sites?

When you compare prices on contact lenses such as Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism, and you come across a site where they're really cheap, is that a warning flag?
If they're selling the brand name, doesn't it have to be that actual brand name manufactured by Johnson & Johnson? They couldn't legally sell them as Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism unless they bought that brand from J & J, right? So if web site A has them for $20 and Website B has them for $5, regardless of the price, they're the exact same contact lens, right?

If they say Acuvue Advance, and they are in the unopened box, I think it would be a better deal to get them for five dollars than twenty if you ask me.

I saw a post a few minutes ago, it may have been one of my own, that had a picture of Bart Simpson's yellow hand holding a carton of what looks like milk, but the label actually says "malk." Even at 5 cents a carton, I doubt if I would drink something called "malk."

By the same token, I wouldn't buy cheap contacts unless I was certain of their quality.

I would look on eBay or another Business seller, selling contact lenses, but who accepts payment via PayPal. That way, if there is any doubt about the authenticity, you can lodge a dispute with PayPal and they usually come down initially in favour of the Buyer.

I don't think you will find the goods 4 times cheaper, but half price compared to the normal optician's shop is possible buying on-line. You may find lenses cheaper if you buy from a Private Seller, but you have less come back if the goods are unsatisfactory in any way. Your best guide then, is the Seller's eBay Feedback and to only pay via PayPal.

Most of the discount Mail Order companies that I have looked at all sell at around the same price. If you saw something very much cheaper and it was coming from say China or another area with a history of counterfeit goods, then apart from Import Duties, alarm bells should be ringing. It may still be OK but extra caution is required.

Good one, Knotlob. Once again that old adage rings true: You get what you pay for.
