Default Calling All acuvue Advance Users!

Been doing some research lately on Acuvue Advance lately. I must say I'm a little confused because there seems to be such a wide spectrum of opinions. Some love Acuvue Advance. Some hate `em. It doesn't look like very many people on Lens 101 have an opinion or a question, though. So I'm going to shake things up a little. So far we have one person who doesn't seem to like the AA lenses very much. The others just seem to have general questions. So now I need you to give me your opinion. Do you like Acuvue Advance contacts? Not so much? Let me know how you reacted to them and why. Thank you!

Default Acuvue Advance Critique

I can't answer that challenge directly, but I can tell you what I've read. One person posted on a blog that the Acuvue Advance was one of the worst lenses out there. He says they're not good at correcting vision, they get all clouded up with deposits, and they aren't even comfortable. He also said that the next generation Acuvue contact lens--Oasys--came out very soon after the release of Acuvue 2 and is far better, in his opinion.
I hope that helps.

Default Acuvue Advance

I wear Acuvue Advance and my only complaint with them being hydrogels, is they are very thin like cellophane and I find some difficulty handling them as they want to fold over before I can get them in my eye..so the dryer they are before inserting, they hold their shape better.

Now I can say mine are EXTREMELY comfortable, it doesn't even feel like I have a contact in my eye. The visual clarity is amazing. They are comfortable, don't get dry, cloudy, foggy or anything. Other than the handling thing I love them.

But, I know everyone is different as some folks build alot of protein deposits and lipids and different lenses react differently when taking all that into account.

Hope this helps.
