I read an article by a woman who only wears one contact lens, and that one is an Acuvue Advance For Astigmatism. She uses that eye for distance and the other, unaided eye to read.
Is this a common practice? Sounds kind of weird to me. Last edited by Spookytooth; 04-17-2008 at 09:56 AM.. Reason: Missing preposition |

Nope.. it's done all the time. Called monovision. Some folks do it so they don't have to mess with bifocal contacts which I hear don't always work that well. I wear monovision lenses and it works great for me.
Hope this helps. MissKitty |

I have heard of monovision before, but I always understood it to mean you wore a different contact lens in each eye. This woman I read about only wore one contact lens. Have you heard of anyone just wearing one contact lens? ![]() |
