Default Are Acuvue Bifocal Contacts as Good as Glasses?
Most people wear bifocal contact lenses because they are more convenient than putting on reading glasses and then taking them off time and time again.

I've heard that vision with contacts is never as good as with glasses, although I don't know why. How do Acuvue Bifocals compare to reading or bifocal glasses?

Great question and something I was wondering about as well.

My eyeglasses are bifocal and I hate them. I have that little line in the middle and there's definitely a distortion when I look anywhere near that line. I also don't like the fact that when I walk or look at the computer I have to keep lowering and raising my head so I can see a specific spot clearly.

Are bifocal contacts the same way? I'd like to know about any distortion that you might see.

The next time I get a pair of eyeglasses they will not be bifocals. I don't mind changing glasses when I want to read or walk around. The only reason I even tried the bifocals is because my eye doctor told me they would be better for me.

Thanks for sharing your experience, skatts. I don't wear bifocals yet, but statistically speaking, it wont be long. Still, I don't think there was be as much distortion with contacts as with glasses, simply because the contact lenses are smaller, and so the line of division is thinner and hopefully less noticeable.
