I've never seen a pair of bifocal contact lenses, so I was wondering if when you held up an Acuvue bifocal contact lens, you could see the different zones. Would it look like a target or something?

Either that or the magnifying (reading) part of the contact lens is heavier anyway. I hope that helps. |

Still nobody willing to tell me (or show me) what bifocal contacts look like? Is it because people are having such a good time reading Lens 101 with their bifocal contacts that they can't stop and compose a reply to this one?

I'm sure you can't see the zones when they're in your eyes, but I'd like to know, like moneyfornothin, if you could see the zones while the lens was sitting on your fingertip or in the lens case.

No, when they're on your finger they look like any other contacts. |

Well, thank you very much for the eyewitness observation, dianemarie. It's good to get an answer from someone who has experience. Tell me, is there anything worse that posting a question in a forum and the only reply you get is "Yeah, I've been wondering about that, too"?

I've been wearing soflens now for 3 weeks and am experiencing blurred vision at times. Also distance is a little less sharp than before. Problem is I now can't read or see the computer without them!
Anybody have a long time experience with these or other multifocals- acuvue? Thanks, John. |

Well, Keith. Welcome to Lens 101. You get right to the point, don't you?
What's wrong with the design of this site? It's a lot like most forums, and better than some. It seems to work for most people. Are you going to say anything more, or just post a couple of . . . well, I can't call them "sentences" . . . and then disappear? Explain yourself. If you have some good ideas, maybe the Webmaster will use them. |

Now almost 2 months with the soflens multifocal and its getting better. Had a hospital eye check/ test to make sure the lens strength is ok. It's just different tha normal lenses, but my eyes seem to be adjusting now.
Anybody have experience with acuvue bifocals compared to soflens? |
|
|||
|
I think you may be right about that, captain. It's too bad. Keith might have had some good suggestions that could help us out.

I'm afraid I can't help you with your Acuvue Bifocal/Soflens comparison, but I still would like to welcome you to Lens 101. How do those SofLens Multi-Focal feel these days? |
