Default Can't seem to put them in properly

I have worn Acuvue for Astigmatism in my left eye since summer. This last box I got was the Oasys and they have been giving me trouble. I can't seem to put it in right, it's always blurry. I try to turn it around, but sometimes even that doesn't work. It's taking up too much time in the mornings. Is there some trick to it? Also, one of the lenses just tore apart as I was trying to separate it from itself.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having, mousie. You've been wearing these lenses since summer. Have you seen something called an "inversion mark"? It's a tiny mark on the edge of the lens that will tell you if it's on properly. Unfortunately I was not able to find a picture to illustrate. Since these are contact lenses made to correct astigmatism, you have to put them in the right way, and they should let you know that you've got them in place correctly.

As for the tearing, if the lens edges stick together, you might be able to pry them apart if you apply plenty of fluid and keep the lens very wet as you work on it.

I hope that helps.

I found this thread while wandering around so I thought I'd stop in.
I tried to find a picture of the inversion mark too, but like you, I couldn't find anything. Maybe there's a better keyword to use for a search. Any suggestions?

I know about the inversion marks on either side, but apparently there is one on the bottom as well that tells you exactly how it's suppose to go in, but I can't find it.

When you say the inversion mark is "on either side" you mean left and right, at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions?

Yes, that's what my optometrist said.

It's funny how they put these tiny marks on your contact lenses that allow you to insert them properly, but you can't see tiny marks unless you're wearing your contacts.
