Hi,
I'm currently on a trial with Oasys for Astigmatism. This is the first set of contacts I've had for a year. I'e had an eye test taken recently and with this prescription my glasses vision is pretty much pin sharp with both pairs that i have. The question I have is I know the prescription for contacts is meant to be different due to the distance to the eye but is this correct (see both images) As the Optician seems to have ordered the same Axis of 90 for both yet i am Right 5 and Left 155. Going by on-line lens calculators/iPhone app they think i should be on Left 160 & Right 180. It's good in my right eye but my left is not as sharp by a noticeable margin... During the fitting i read my optician the 3rd from last line on the Snellen chart and said the left was noticably less sharp but he said that i'm 20/20 so it doesn't concern him too much. I drive a lot and i'm a Photographer so need sharp eyes. I'm confused! |

It sounds like you know your stuff when it comes to contact lens prescriptions. I hope you'll stick around and try to answer some other members' questions. In the meantime, it sounds like you need another appointment with your eye doctor. Bottom line is that you're not happy with your "corrected" vision in your left eye. Maybe you got a bad lens, or maybe something was just off that day. Give it another try. |
