Was using Air optix astigmatism...
just bought a box of Acuvue Oasys Astigmatism... Both Air optix and Acuvue Oasys ...i can "feel" more of my LEFT eye. I am also use Opti Free solution, and I read in another thread here on the board that it could be the problem. As just checked with my optometrist today, and he saids the contacts are fited correctly, and there are no rotations of the contacts to the left or right when I blink, so it means the contacts stay in place. So I think it may be a dryness issue. It doesn't help that i'm in the desert. I just know that without my contacts, I don't have this "feeling" in my left eye. I was wondering if there are alternate contact lens solution that anyone may recommend i should try? |

I had this problem a couple years ago and my doctor said it was probably a reaction to something (probably the preservative) in my solution. He put me on Alaway allergy drops (you can buy them over the counter) and advised me to change to Clear Care. I immediately noticed a difference using the Alaway- the first time I used it, it didn't feel like there was a log in my left eye when I put in my contact. The Clear Care seemed to work for me pretty well. However, about six months ago, I noticed Wal-Mart made a version of it and tried it. After using it, I decided it was drying out my eyes and stopped using the peroxide system at all. Now I am realizing it was the Wal-Mart solution the first time and have finally put two and two together. My eyes do not like something Wal-Mart uses and it's better for me to stick with the Clear Care. Every person is different and it may be that your solution isn't right for you. How long have you used the solution?
I also have dry eyes according to my eye doctor and he put me on Gen-Teal liquid gel drops at night before bedtime. This seems to help alot. So, if you take your contacts out at night, you might give that a try. |
